Scholarships at Savannah State University

We search; Tigers apply. ScholarshipUniverse matches admitted and current students to University, Foundation and external scholarships. Direct awards are made year-round while funding lasts (minimum 2.0 GPA and full-time enrollment); competitive scholarships need an application, generally by April 30. Every student who accepts a scholarship writes a letter of thanks.

Competitive scholarships

Apply in ScholarshipUniverse, generally by April 30.

Create an endowed scholarship

From $25,000, over up to five years. Awarded in perpetuity.

Create a restricted scholarship

From $5,000 - we suggest $1,000 a year for five years.

Support a scholarship

Funded to Finish

For Tigers with 90 or more credit hours whose aid has run out - the last thirty credit hours to a degree.

NROTC Prep Scholarships

One-year preparatory scholarships covering room, board and tuition for future Navy officers in SSU's NROTC program.

Competitive scholarships for outstanding incoming freshmen from Georgia - Honors Program, service, internships and study abroad.

Scholarships for Tigers - Presidential Scholars, band members and NROTC prep students among them. Nearly 90 percent of SSU students rely on financial aid.
